Being Human by Ayya Al Badr

There is no rationality to our feelings, and as humans, we are made up more of emotion than we are the flesh, blood, and bones articulated in our mothers’ wombs. We start with innocence and naivety, then grow to demand respect and social acceptance. But through it all, we strive to find understanding, affection, and freedom.

Like our feelings, there is no rationality to the course of our lives, nor the fate that decides how and when to put that course into action. We are made up of feelings, then shaped into individuals by the experiences we go through and how we react to them.
