Winter by Shahd

I stare through my window, alone like a widow.

Drinking my coffee, warming my body.

I hold my breath and memories rush.

Snowflakes falling down the skies into my freezing palms.

I shiver, I smile, admiring the navy-blue sky.

Decorated with shining stars and a full moon pride.

A magical reflection compels my eyes.

Down below are houses covered with snow, dripping from the edges, mesmerizing and pretty shown.

A year passed and winter arrived.

Cold and foggy, yet it’s cozy.

A year passed and winter is back.

Dark and black yet somehow I spot the spark.

Consumed by the white world, I am under the influence of winter curse .
